It would appear that despite their tough talking in recent weeks New Labour, rather than reducing the number of migrant workers instead intend to increase their numbers.No surprise there then!
Migrants from Bulgaria and Romania (that includes the Roma gypsies) could be given open door access to Britain's labour market within months. A committee meeting today will discuss whether or not to lift the 20,000 limit on people from those countries.
The comittee was formed with the supposed intention of giving police and councils a voice in immigration policy (yeah sure!)
So despite the odd Labour minister talking tough they're up to the same old tricks of allowing an unlimited number of migrant workers in.
Another victory for the owners of capital and another defeat for the long suffering workers. While at the same time pretending to represent the interests of the working class. And another example of the 'socialist' Labour parties hypocrisy.
